{"id":1397,"date":"2025-09-02T07:12:38","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T13:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.k-g.com.mx\/?p=1397"},"modified":"2025-09-02T07:12:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T13:12:52","slug":"iniciativa-con-proyecto-de-decreto-por-el-que-se-reforma-el-articulo-2-a-de-la-ley-del-impuesto-al-valor-agregado-a-efecto-de-aplicar-la-tasa-del-0-a-todo-tipo-de-medicamentos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.k-g.com.mx\/en\/iniciativa-con-proyecto-de-decreto-por-el-que-se-reforma-el-articulo-2-a-de-la-ley-del-impuesto-al-valor-agregado-a-efecto-de-aplicar-la-tasa-del-0-a-todo-tipo-de-medicamentos\/","title":{"rendered":"LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVE TO AMEND ARTICLE 2-A OF THE VALUE ADDED TAX LAW TO APPLY A 0% RATE TO ALL TYPES OF MEDICINES."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear clients and friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On August 25, an initiative was published in the Federal Parliamentary Gazette proposing to amend section I) subsection b) of Article 2-A of the Value Added Tax Law (\u201cLIVA\u201d), which would have the effect of reducing the cost of all medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective of this initiative is to expand the catalog of products and services subject to the 0% tax rate from the value added tax (\u201cVAT\u201d), as currently only patented medicines are included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If this reform is approved, in addition to its social impact, it would allow companies engaged in the production and distribution of medicines to generate significant VAT balances in their favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initiative is still under legislative discussion, so we will be closely following the approval process.
