INCREMENT ON MINIMUM WAGES EFFECTIVE ON JANUARY 1ST, 2024.

On December 1, 2023, the increase to minimum wages was announced, which will come into force as of January 1, 2024, which were unanimously agreed upon by the National Minimum Wages Commission (Comisión Nacional de los Salarios Mínimos, “CONASAMI”) which represents a 20% increase to the minimum wages in force for the year 2023.

In such sense, the minimum wages will be increased as follows:

  1. General minimum wage: for the amount of MXP$248.93.
  2. Northern Border Free Zone salary: for the amount of MXP$374.89.

Likewise, the minimum professional wages will have a 20% increase.

Furthermore, according to the statement issued by CONASAMI, the increase to the abovementioned minimum wages considers the minimum wage in force in 2023, plus the sum of: (i) an Independent Recovery Amount (Monto Independiente de Recuperación, “MIR”) of MXP$41.26 for the Northern Border Free Zone and MXP$27.40 for the rest of the country; and (ii) a fixation increase of 6% on the sum of these.
